Sebuah riwayat dari Safiya (putri Abdul Muththalib) mengenai kelahiran Nabi Muhammad ﷺ

“Pada saat kelahirannya aku melihat munculnya cahaya hijau.  Di malam harinya aku melihat 6 tanda.

Segera setelah anak itu lahir, beliau menundukan kepalanya dan melakukan sujud.
Beliau mengangkat kepalanya yang diberkati dan berbicara dengan suara yang jelas dan khas: La ilaha illAllah Inni Rasulullah (Tiada tuhan selain Allah dan aku adalah Utusan Allah).
Sebuah cahaya yang terang-benderang termanifestasi.
Ketika aku ingin membasuhnya sebuah suara terdengar, “Wahai Safiya, jangan merepotkan dirimu, kami telah membasuh dan membersihkannya.”
Beliau dilahirkan sudah dalam keadaan dikhitan dan tali pusarnya telah putus.
Ketika aku sedang mencari sesuatu untuk membedung anak itu, aku memperhatikan ada sebuah tanda di punggungnya.  Ketika aku melihatnya dari dekat, aku dapat membaca kalimat: La ilaha illAllah Muhammad Rasulullah (Tidak ada tuhan selain Allah dan Nabi Muhammad adalah Utusan-Nya)
Aku juga mendekat ketika beliau bersujud dan aku mendengar beliau mengucapkan, “Ummati, Ummati,” pada bibirnya yang diberkati.

Seerah for the week

A Narration from Safiya (Daughter of Abdul Muttalib) on the birth of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ

“At the very moment of birth I saw a green light appear. During the night, I beheld 6 signs

1/ As soon as the child was born. He bent down his head and performed a prostration

2/ He lifted his blessed head and spoke clearly and distinctly these words: La ilaha illAllah Inni Rasulullah (There is no God but Allah and I am the Prophet of Allah)

3/ A great light was manifested

4/ When I wished to wash the child a voice came to me and said: ‘Oh Safiya do not trouble yourself, we have already washed and clensed him’

5/ He was born already Circumcised and his Umbilical Cord was cut

6/ When I looked for something to swaddle the Child, I noticed upon his back a certain mark. Lookin at it closely, I was able to read the words: La ilaha illAllah Muhammad Rasulullah (There is no God but Allah and Prophet Muhammad is his Messenger)

I also went close when he prostrated himself and I heard him say the words on his blessed lips: Ummatiy Ummatiy (My Nation, My Nation)
